Remuneration Policy

Guaranteed Remuneration management is all about balancing the budgetary and economic constraints of supply and demand with strategic issues, such as attracting and retaining key talent. South Africa’s legislative requirements for pay equity and the need to defend any differentiation in remuneration further complicate these issues.

Clé Human Capital has developed methodologies which enable an organisation to define a target pay rate for each employee. Our processes are sufficiently flexible to accommodate a client’s existing remuneration practices, for example by including or excluding a job evaluation system. After defining the target pay rate, we assist our clients to identify any anomalies in pay and to formulate a strategy to address and correct such anomalies. The process can also be extended to include payscales and salary structuring.

Our methodology includes drafting the organisation’s Remuneration Policy that sets objective criteria for the management of remuneration levels, ensuring the best outlay of the organisation’s remuneration budget. We have also successfully employed this methodology to assist with the alignment of remuneration and benefit practices in the case of mergers and acquisitions.
